Anglers today are reporting bad edges at a few lakes. Water levels have come up and despite good ice on the lake, access is not possible. Hamilton will be unfishable for a few days. Anglers fished Hammond this morning, but noted the edges were disappearing by mid day. Similar reports from Cowanesque. They are letting water out on the Corps lakes. It appears they have crested and are on their way back down.
**EDIT- We fished Cowanesque last night and the edges were good on the west end. **
Hills Creek and Beechwood are in better shape. Cold temperatures tonight will help lock up some of the water on top. However, still be cautious of old holes that opened up and did not refreeze, and areas of incoming water.
If you are headed out, be sure to check conditions yourself before venturing onto the lakes.
Good luck and be safe out there.
