12/1/16 Tioga County Fishing Report
With the start of deer season, most people have been in the woods instead of on the water. However, the few people venturing out have been doing decent. Perch have been ative on Hills Creek and Tioga Lake. Live minnows has been best for them. Trout fishing continues to be very good on Hamilton Lake. Mealworms, waxworms, and powerbait are all working. Many of the fish are still holding in the upper end of Hamilton Lake by the boat launch. Beechwood Lake is scheduled to be restocked this week too!
We apologize for the minimal reports these past few weeks, but few people have been out. As soon as the ice starts forming, we will have regular reports again! The current forecast looks very promising for ice by Christmas. Time will tell and I sure hope the weather man is right this time! I'm very confident we will be on hardwater in Tioga County by the new year this season. Keep thinking those cold thoughts and let's bring on the ICE!
