5/13- Many noted a slow bite from shore yesterday during the day on Hammond, but late last night, anglers found good number of crappies and caught them through this morning. Today's warm rain should help keep the bite going through today and tomorrow. Likely things will slow on Sunday and it will be mid-week before another batch of fish moves back in shore. Boaters did better, especially toward evening. Tioga Lake fished well too. Live minnows worked best.
Hamilton Lake will be restocked with trout within the next few hours today.
The Upper Pine Creek trout tournament kicks off this weekend too! We have plenty of bait in stock. Open 6AM-6PM all weekend. Pine looked great yesterday in Gaines. Good clarity and at good levels. A little rain today and tomorrow shouldn't affect it too much. For those fly fishing Pine Creek, March Browns and lots of tan caddis are hatching. Spinners falling in the evening. Good luck out there!
