UPDATE 4:42PM-Corps lakes are closed down. From their facebook page "Due to the high water elevation, the gate closures are as follows: Lambs Creek Recreation Area, Cowanesque South Shore Recreation Area, North Tailrace, Railroad Grade Trail, Ives Run Day Use, and Ives Run Campground boat launch gates are closed."
Last night- Rain. Today's Forecast- Rain. Tomorrow's Forecast- Rain.
It looks like, we'll be dealing with high, muddy water for a little while. Pine Creek is at unfishable levels. The lakes are also muddied up. Hammond hasn't come up too much in the last few days, but Crooked Creek is dumping lots of muddy water into the upper end. Continued cool weather will delay the crappie spawn as water temperatures drop on the lakes. The bite's been extremely slow these past few days and its unlikely this will improve until conditions start improving again. Mid-week, it looks like things will start to turn around.
If you are planning a trip, I would strong reccomend waiting a few more days or so until things start to improve.
Be careful out there. It might not be great fishing conditions, but its always a great day to stop in to Tackle Shack and see what's new!
