After a little rain in early the week, things are in good shape for the weekend. Most of the reports these past few days have been from Hills Creek. Anglers are finding a good bite early in the morning, then a flurry of activity mid afternoon. The ice is in good shape at 10+ inches in most areas. Keep an eye out for spots with any incoming water with a few days of warm weather moving in.
Anglers at Hamilton, Lyman Run and Beechwood are still catching trout and a variety of panfish. Waxworms have been best. Ice is at 10+ inches in most spots. Again, watch the creek mouths. These spots are thinner from the rain earlier in the week.
Few reports from the Corps lakes this week. a few anglers have been out on Tioga with mixed results. Access from rt 15 is the best route to get on the lake. Hammond and Cowanesque raised 3+ feet with the last rain. As of yesterday, they are back to normal levels again.
Good Luck and be safe out there. Always check conditions yourself before venturing onto the lakes.
