All of the lakes in the county are currently open.  However, Tioga is still very muddy.  Cowanesque is also very dirty.

Hamilton Lake was restocked with trout this week and anglers have been doing well with a variety of live baits and spinners.  Mealworms and minnows were among the favorites.  Chartruese, silver, and gold spinners were all working too.  Areas around the dock were fishing well.

Nessmuk Lake is fishing very well.  Anglers are catching bass on whopper ploppers, poppers, senkos, and various spinnerbaits.  Wacky rigged senkos, or similar baits, in green pumpkin and watermelon shades haave been very popular.  A few were caught on frogs as well

Bass fishing on Hammond has been very good.  Anglers are doing well with darker colored baits fished on the edges and near timber.  Black/blue or Black/red plastics are working well in and around weedbeds.  Chartruese spinner baits were also popular.  Live shiners are working for bass and catfish too.

Hills Creek Lake has been good this week for both bass and panfish.  Anglers are catching perch and bluegills on nightcrawlers and small jigs.  Outer edges of the lily pads and weed lines have been best.

Bass, walleye, and pickerel are being caught at Beechwood Lake.  Live shiners and various crankbaits have been popular.  Look for weed edges and down trees for the best action.

Fishing in the spillways has been spotty.  Some anglers are doing well on crappies and perch, but the catfish and walleye fishing has been slow.  Some are being caught, but it has been tough fishing for most.  Again, live shiners and nightcrawlers have been the most popular.  Small chartruese and firetiger swimbaits are also catching fish.
