We're back and will be back to our usual report update schedule!

Bass are biting across the county and anglers are catching them with a variety of methods.  Dropshotting Berkley MaxScent baits, Yamamoto Shad Shape Worms, and Strike King Dream Shots has been a popular tactic on weedlines and offshore strucutre.  Inshore, Reaction Innovations Beavers, Strike King Rage Craws, and Yamamoto Kreatures or Flappin Hogs have been popular baits.  The smaller lakes, and Hammond have nice weed beds that are holding fish.  Hammond is sparser than normal, but the weeds are fishing well.  The weeds are not growing well on either Tioga or Cowanesque.  On both lakes weeds are extremely sparse.  Mornings and evenings have fished best.  Some are finding a decent topwater bite and buzzbaits, whopper ploppers, and frogs are catching fish.

Trout fishing is slowing down with temps on Pine rising into the 80's in spots over the past weekend.  Rain and cooler nights has dropped temps back to the low to mid 70's.  On the contrary, smallmouth are biting well and fishing continues to be good throughout much of the river!  Crawfish patterns, live minnows, nightcrawlers, small poppers, and various crankbaits are working.

Hybrid striper fishing has been good on Hammond.  Various crankbaits and jerkbaits are catching fish.  Shad patterns have been the most popular.  Look for dropoffs and schools of baitfish to locate the hybrids.  Below is a GIANT caught earlier this week on a deep diving crankbait.  32" and almost 18lbs!
