Fishing continues to be good throughout most of the county. Anglers are catching good numbers of bass on all of the lakes. Topwater bites have been good in the evenings around grass and lily pads. Similar, in the shallows flipping creature baits, beavers, and various other plastics will yield bites. Off shore, anglers are doing well with carolina rigs, drop shots, and crank baits. Look for deeper weed lines and man-made structures.
Anglers are catching good numbers of crappies, perch, and bluegills at Hills Creek, Hamilton, and Hammond. Look for weed lines and pockets in weed mats for good action. Downed treeds and similar structure are also holding fish. Live minnows, waxworms, and redworms were all working, as well as a variety of lures.
