The last bass tournament of the year wrapped up this past Sunday.  Anglers did well on Tioga and Hammond, noting good catches, but many smaller fish.  Heavy rains Saturday made Cowanesque muddy and tough by Sunday.  Despite the conditions, a number of nice bass came to the scales.  Water temps are still high for this time of the year.  Most anglers are doing best shallow.  Below are the results from that event.

Trout fishing continues to be good at Hamilton Lake.  A lot of fish are hanging out at the dock and up into the creek.  This area has been the most productive.  Spinners, flies, powerbait, butterworms, waxworms, and more are all working.  Most of the lake is still muddy, but the trout have been cooperative nonetheless.  Some bass and panfish are also being caught.

Beechwood Lake has been fishing well for bass and panfish.  A few giants were caught this week including 1 bass that topped 7lbs on a crankbait!  Pickerel are also being caught in good numbers.

Warmer October temps have kept the lake temperatures up.  Temps are holding in the low to mid 60's.  This should drop considerably over the next week with rain and cooler weather moving in.
