5/7/16 FINALLY we are seeing some warmer temperatures again and reports today have been decent overall. Anglers are catching them on Hammond, Tioga, Cowanesque, and Hamilton. Reports varied person to person, but some are doing very well. Live minnows have been the most popular, but Red/black/chartruese, silver, chartruese, and white tubs or twister tails have all worked well. Trolling small stickbaits and plastics is working too. Few people noted really 'hammering' them, but most everyone is catching decent numbers.
So long as this weather keeps up, the fishing will only get better! Most of this week and into next weekend looks great. I feel like a broken record, repeating this again, but we should see them push inshore to spawn this week. Next weekend should be in the peak of the spawn.
A couple from today.
