Call Us

6/22 Mixed reports yesterday from the lakes.  We fished Hammond for a few hours in the evening and did well trolling a Strike King Series 3 in Sexy Shad and a challenger micro minnow.  Landed several panfish and one big pickerel.  Talked to a another boater and they were catching some crappies, but not huge numbers.  There was several fish working the surface from Pine Camp to the dam.  Likely bass, and crappies.    Water temps ranged from 75-78.

CV league kicked off their Tuesday night tournaments on Cowanesque last night.  Good turnout of boaters, but a very tough bite.  Anglers caught fish on jigs, crankbaits, and senkos.  Winning weight was just over 6 lbs with about a 3.5lb lunker.  Water temps similar to hammond at  74-77

Some complained of thick weeds on Hills Creek, while others are doing very well.  Picking apart the weeds with a creature bait worked very well for a few anglers.  Also, a decent frog bite continues.   Both mornings and evenings are fishing well.  Panfish are being caught in pockets in the weeds or in the deeper water closer to the dam.
