11/18 This week has been a good one for the most part on the area lakes. Anglers are catching nice perch on both Hills Creek and Tioga Lake. A few big crappies were also in the mix. Live minnows and waxworms worked best on both lakes.
Bass fishing has been good too on Cowanesque, Hills Creek Lake and Tioga Lake. Smallmouth, especially, have been very active and jerkbaits or crankbaits are working.
A few reports from the spillway indicated a steady walleye bite too using live minnows and twisters. Most caught were small ones.
Water temps in the region vary from 44-48 degrees. Clarity has improved, but most lakes remain off color still
Good luck out there! Bear Season opens tomorrow and Rifle deer season is just over a week away. Good luck hunters!
